SCHOOL VACATION WORKSHOPS
Our SCHOOL VACATION WORKSHOPS are a great way to encourage your child's creativity during the weeks off from their school schedule!
These workshops have the same qualities as our ongoing classes - multiple project options, choice of a wide range of drawing and painting materials, and small class size for lots of individualized attention and encouragement. Each student designs their own artwork and works at their own pace.
HERE IS OUR SCHEDULE FOR FEBRUARY 2025:
AFRICAN ANIMALS
Monday, February 17 from 10 AM to 2 PM
Snow date: Tuesday, February 18, same time
The African veld is home to a multitude of fascinating creatures, including the giraffe, lion, zebra, and elephant. Students will draw or paint the animals of their choice, using pencils or brushes to discover the animals' unique anatomy, markings, and textures.
TREES IN SEASON
Wednesday, February 19 from 10 AM to 2 PM
Snow date: Thursday, February 20, same time
Each of the four seasons offers its own perspective on that favorite subject of landscape artists, the tree. Students will select their favorite season to draw or paint, then depict their tree using its unique colors and textures. Another option is to include all four in one artwork (see example below). Mother Nature is the best inspiration!
SWEET TREATS
Friday, February 21 from 10 AM to 2 PM
Snow date: Saturday, February 22, same time
We all have our favorite desserts, so it's easy to get inspired to include them in a work of art. Students may draw or paint their favorite sweet, with options like cakes, cupcakes, ice cream, or candy. Get out the bright colors and let's create!
Tuition for each workshop is $129, which includes all art materials.
There is a 10% discount for students who register for all 3 workshops; tuition is $349.
Limit of 6 students per workshop.
Please send your child with a nut-free lunch.
