The following are commonly asked questions.
If you have a question that is not answered below, please feel free to contact us at Catherine@CatherineCarterPainting.com.
DO YOU GIVE REFUNDS?
We do not give refunds. If a student is unable to attend a class they have registered for, we will work with the parent to find an alternative from our current schedule.
CAN MY CHILD DROP IN TO A CLASS?
Students must pre-register for all classes and workshops, in order for us to set up our classroom with an accurate desk arrangement and materials distribution.
WHAT KIND OF ART PROJECTS DO STUDENTS MAKE?
Feel free to visit our STUDENT ARTWORK page for examples. The project for each class meeting is different. We create a wide variety of still-lifes, portraits, landscapes, and abstracts, using a range of materials including graphite pencils, colored pencils, watercolor paints, acrylic paints, and paper collage. We never repeat a project, so if your child has taken classes with us before, they will always have a new experience.
WHAT IF IT SNOWS ON THE DAY OF CLASS?
If bad weather is in the forecast and class has to be canceled, we will notify parents with details on the makeup day.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We are located at Hatch Street Studios, 88 Hatch Street in the North End of New Bedford. Hatch Street is a one-way street off of Belleville Avenue. Look for the large free parking lot on your left, marked with a sign. Enter the four-story brick mill building through the green doorway and follow signs to our space on the second floor, # 210.
DO STUDENTS NEED TO BRING ANYTHING TO CLASS?
All art supplies are provided, so no need to bring anything.
DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE LESSONS?
Not currently, but we are hoping to return to private lessons once scheduling permits.
DO YOU HAVE CLASSES FOR CHILDREN YOUNGER THAN AGE 9?
We do not, but we highly recommend the programs at the Marion Art Center in Marion or the Westport Art Group in Westport.
