AN ONLINE LECTURE / DEMONSTRATION SERIES
Is there an art material you have always wanted to try, but aren't sure how to get started with? Has your art practice grown too familiar and you want to add new media to your repetoire? Are you simply curious as to what's available in general?
Join us for this online series and find out all you want to know about a range of art materials, from the comfort of your home, on Sunday afternoons this winter!
Each week, Catherine will present multiple aspects of a different material, in the following steps:
1. An overview of what makes this material so unique, what it does best and what it doesn't do so well.
2. An explanation of how the material is sold - types, brands, colors, sizes, etc.
3. A slide show of artworks made using this material, both historical and contemporary.
4. A demonstration of application techniques using this material, as students follow along at home.
The schedule is as follows:
COLORED PENCILS (Drawing in color)
Sunday, January 15, 1 to 3 PM
WATERCOLOR (Painting)
Sunday, January 22, 1 to 3 PM
Tuition per workshop is $49.
Please read our FAQs page.
The syllabus, recommended materials list, and Zoom meeting information are sent upon registration.
