PET PORTRAIT WORKSHOP
SCREEN TO SKETCH: Wednesday, July 23, 1 to 4 PM
Bring your favorite pet's personality to life in this fun and creative Pet Portrait Workshop!
Students age 9 to 17 are invited to join Catherine and guest teachers Roger Andrews & Ashlianna Felix of SketchyGOichie for this hands-on class that blends the best of digital and traditional art-making.
We start by using iPads to plan and design a pet portrait, experimenting with composition, color, and expression. Once the digital sketch is complete, students bring their vision to the page by hand-drawing their pet using colored pencils and markers.
Along the way, we'll explore basic drawing techniques, color blending, and ways to capture what makes each pet unique — from a fluffy tail to a quirky expression. Whether your best friend barks, meows, or hops, you'll leave with a one-of-a-kind portrait to proudly display!
What to bring:
• A printed photo of your pet
• Enthusiasm and creativity!
All art materials are provided; iPads will be available for use during the workshop.
Tuition is $125, including all art materials. Light snacks are provided.
Limit of 8 students.
